Welcome to the website of the 2016 Symposium on Economic Experiments in Developing Countries (SEEDEC) held July 12-13 in Nairobi, Kenya.
The aim of the conference is to bring together the community of scholars who employ laboratory experimental economics methods for research in developing countries. Keynote speakers are Edward Miguel (UC Berkeley) and Muriel Niederle (Stanford). The conference consists of two days of plenary and parallel sessions.
Following SEEDEC 2016, also hosted by the Busara Center and located at Strathmore, will be a 1-day matchmaking conference on using experiments and behavioral economics in the public and private sector.
We will be scheduling optional excursions (including a safari), and provide activities for children during the day so you can bring your whole family.
We look forward to having you for an exciting conference in Nairobi!
